How to use
- Drag M4A files into the box above or tap Choose files. You can add several at once.
- Choose the Quality. 192 kbps or higher suits music; 128 kbps is plenty for voice.
- Tap Save or Save all (ZIP) when done.
Good to know
M4A is audio compressed with the AAC codec. It usually sounds better than MP3 at the same size and is used by iPhone Voice Memos and Apple Music, but some older devices and programs cannot play it.
MP3 is the most widely supported audio format. Its lossy compression removes sounds people barely hear, keeping files small, and it plays on virtually every phone, car stereo and speaker.
Converting iPhone Voice Memos (M4A) or other Apple audio to MP3 lets it play anywhere — Windows, Android and car stereos.
Conversion runs inside this browser and files are never sent over the internet. Because your phone or computer does the work, long videos may take a little while.
FAQ
How do I turn an iPhone voice memo into MP3?
In Voice Memos, tap Share → "Save to Files" to save the M4A, then add it on this page.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Every conversion runs in your browser on your own device.
Does it work with long videos?
Yes, but it uses your device’s power, so a one-hour video may take a few minutes, and files over 2 GB may fail on phones.
