How to use
- Drag your PNG files into the box above or tap Choose files. You can add many at once.
- Adjust Quality if you like. The default (90) already looks virtually identical to the original.
- When it finishes, tap Save on each file or Save all (ZIP) to download everything at once.
Good to know
PNG is a lossless format, so no quality is lost when saving. It supports transparency, which makes it popular for logos, icons, screenshots and design work, but photos saved as PNG are large.
JPG (JPEG) is the most widely used photo format. It opens on virtually every device, app and website with a reasonable file size, but it uses lossy compression and does not support transparency.
Converting PNG to JPG shrinks the file a lot, so it fits email attachments and upload size limits. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white by default).
Everything happens inside this browser. Your files are never sent over the internet, so personal photos and work images stay private, and the converted files no longer carry metadata such as GPS location.
FAQ
What happens to a transparent background?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with the background colour. You can change that colour in the settings — or keep transparency by saving as PNG or WebP instead.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your files never leave your computer or phone.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like; they are converted one after another and you can download them all with Save all (ZIP).
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in iPhone and Android browsers. Very large images may be scaled down automatically to fit your device’s memory.
