How to use
- Drag your JPG files into the box above or tap Choose files. You can add many at once.
- Adjust Quality if you like. The default (90) already looks virtually identical to the original.
- When it finishes, tap Save on each file or Save all (ZIP) to download everything at once.
Good to know
JPG (JPEG) is the most widely used photo format. It opens on virtually every device, app and website with a reasonable file size, but it uses lossy compression and does not support transparency.
WebP is an image format created by Google for the web. It is smaller than JPG and PNG at similar quality and supports transparency, so many websites use it — but some editors and older software still cannot open it.
WebP is typically 25–34% smaller than JPG at the same quality (according to Google). Converting images for your blog, shop or website to WebP makes pages load faster and helps your page-speed scores.
Everything happens inside this browser. Your files are never sent over the internet, so personal photos and work images stay private, and the converted files no longer carry metadata such as GPS location.
FAQ
Do all browsers show WebP?
Yes. All current major browsers — Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox — display WebP.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser on your own device. Your files never leave your computer or phone.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like; they are converted one after another and you can download them all with Save all (ZIP).
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in iPhone and Android browsers. Very large images may be scaled down automatically to fit your device’s memory.
