How to use
- Drop videos into the box above. Several are processed one after another.
- Choose the Compression. "Balanced (720p)" is plenty for phone screens. If there is an upload limit, choose Target file size and enter MB.
- Tap Save when done.
Good to know
Video size depends on resolution and bitrate (data per second). Shrinking a 4K phone video to 720p cuts the size several times over with little visible difference on screen.
With a target size, the bitrate is calculated from the video length. The result may differ slightly from the target.
FAQ
How long does it take?
It uses the hardware encoder built into your browser, so it is usually about real-time or faster. Old phones or long 4K videos take longer.
Does it support AVI or WMV?
MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV are supported for now. Results are saved as widely playable MP4 (H.264) by default, or as WebM in browsers that cannot create MP4.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Videos are processed inside this browser and never sent anywhere. Because your own device does the work, long videos take a while and files over 2 GB may fail on phones.
